California car accidents: 1 killed, 2 injured

People die everyday. Some of these deaths come as a result of natural causes and cannot be prevented. However, those that come as a result of car accidents could mostly likely have been prevented. For example, a representative of the California Highway Patrol reports that a recent accident that killed a man was caused by another driver who failed to stop at a stop sign.

The accident happened just before 6 a.m. one morning in September. Police claim that a 23-year-old male failed to stop at a stop sign, causing his vehicle to strike the passenger side of a vehicle driven by a 41-year-old man. The force of the collision pushed the second car into oncoming traffic where it was struck the driver's side of a pickup truck driven by a 37-year-old man.

Unfortunately, the second vehicle caught fire, and the driver died at the scene. The driver of the third vehicle was burned and flown to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the first vehicle was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Although officials sat that the accident remains under investigation, they do not suspect that alcohol or drugs were a contributing factor.

Many people who have lost a loved one in car accidents such as this have sought relief for the many financial and other stresses caused the loss by filing a wrongful death case in a California civil court. Additionally, the injured pickup driver has the option of pursuing damages, including medical expenses and lost wages, among others. A successfully litigated claim can allow him to focus on his recovery, which could require expensive medical treatment, instead of worrying over his financial situation.
